Diana Marie Russo is a senior at St. John Fisher College and studies media and communication and Spanish. At Fisher, this Dean’s list student is the Editor in Chief of the Cardinal Courier, a student run news organization. Her degree will allow her to pursue her dream of becoming an entertainment news broadcaster or the editor in chief of a magazine.
Aside from school, Diana works with her platform 'Memories Through Music, Alzheimer’s Awareness.' Her grandmother, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, inspired her to become an Alzheimer’s Ambassador and travel to Washington DC and advocate in front of Congress. Not only does she watch Alzheimer’s patients come to life when she shares with them the gift of music but she partners with local radio stations to give these elders radios.
Diana has been a flautist for 14 years and performs her flute arrangement in pageant competitions. No dream is too big for this passionate 21 year old because she aspires to be Miss America! But for now, she enjoys living in Rochester with her family, working two part time jobs and pursuing her education.
