Eligibility 

• You are a citizen of the United States
• You live, work or attend school full time in New York State and have done so for at least 6 months prior to competing
• You are female, never married and never have had children
  
• You must live, work, or attend school full time in the state of New York above Long Island and the 5 boroughs of New York City
  
• Miss: You are between 18-25. 
  ​You will not be older than 25 by December 31st.
• Teen: You are between 13-17, and not yet a high school senior
  
• You meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss America Organization
